UPDATE: seems to work fine now when using Apple brand usbc charger and wall adapter. This charger chord is more powerful and is made to charge Apple products very fast. So I guess if you have a powerful machine, you need to get a better chord/usbc to outlet adapter that can deliver enough power to this product. So I will continue using this product now that the problem is fixed. Because of the weird USBC issue and all the trouble I went through to make it work, I give it 4 stars. Also because the inconsistent starting voltage when the foot petal is pressed, which was not resolved with a different chord. It doesn’t really bug me enough to return it.

I was able to make this fern tattoo using this power source, but with many complications and made the tattoo harder by having to make a lot of adjustments to make it barely functional. I posted a video explaining and showing the problems.

I love the design of this product, I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately it’s not powerful enough for certain cases. It will not work at all, if I use a 3.5-4 stroke machine and won’t work if the needle is too far out. I like working with my needles poking out farther and use 4 stroke a lot so I was disappointed. I used to have a cheap dragon hawk power source and never had issues with my powerful machine. This product works fine with the cheap machines that don’t pack a punch but not my $1000 powerful machine and not a 4 stroke. Plus it also tends to work on the higher strokes as long as I pull the needle almost all the way in but I tend to like my needle hanging out as far as possible. I will try to get a more powerful adapter and see if it helps deliver more power to the product but the usbc is annoying, I wish they just had an outlet plug? I don’t get the point of usbc. It also always starts at a base voltage when you press the foot petal then quickly adjusts to the set voltage which seems very inconsistent, even with the cheaper machines that aren’t powerful and have no other issues with. Such a shame.

Note: I bought this power source on a different listing that was in a pack with some other things so that’s why it’s not verified, but I did buy this product on Amazon.

This tattoo power supply is right fit for me. Also this price is reasonable.

I actually have two of these now, the first one was accidentally shipped to me before they had been officially released. So I've actually been using one for about 2 months. I have to admit that for stationary tattooing, and even some light duty tattooing on the run, this has been an absolute game changer. Because it runs off of USBC I could hook it up to a small portable battery pack that runs my tattoo machine for about 6 and 1/2 hours before needing to be recharged. And then of course, in this case, you can just swap out to a new battery pack. And the great thing is, is that any battery pack works. Anything that you use to charge your cell phone up, will be able to be used to power your tattoo machine. I love the interface, it's super easy to change the settings, and it's also super easy to cover up with plastic to keep it sanitary. It's also powerful enough, that you can keep it far away from your work area which prevents any kind of biological contamination, or other cross contaminations, from happening. If you're looking for a power supply that can be used both in a studio, or on the go, without adding weight to the back end of your pen style tattoo machine, this is definitely something to give a try. Highly recommended.

Ordered this power supply for my wireless Mast pen for backup if session runs long and the battery gives out. It arrived today but I didn't have any sessions scheduled (day off 😁), so figured that would give me a chance to test-run it before actual shop use. Hooked up both my pen and foot pedal to it and it works great. Let it run the pen for a while, while watching for voltage drop, no drop during the 10 minute test and no funky weirdness translated to the pen (surges, vibrations, etc.....nothing) so next step will be a test on my own personal "canvas" before even considering using for a client session. If all goes well and it can keep up it will definitely find a home in the shop 😉. So far so good, smooth operation, adjustment increments are acurate to description, plug receptacles are solid sturdy connections.....in all, at this time, I would recommend and will order more barring any issues. I'll update if any changes. 👍

I’ve been pushing my nephew into possible career paths in creative escapes, and I have been showing him and encouraging him and tattooing so while he’s here for a weekend, I like to show him what possibilities are out there and have practice skin and everything you need so he can work on his craft While I just cook, and clean and spoil him like an aunt does . He raves about this and has nothing but good to say he wants to take it home, but I make him keep it here so that I know it’s all together and taken care of and will last longer, but he enjoys it much better than the model that he has.
