Usage frequency
For microneedling, It should be performed once every 4-6 weeks. Results may differ for each person, but the average initial result can be seen in the first 2 sessions.
Important: Microneedling cartridges must be sanitised before each use to ensure the treatment is safe and hygienic. You must follow these steps carefully to sterilise the microneedling cartridges properly.
Here are the steps to sterilise microneedling cartridges:
- First, ensure you have all the necessary equipment to sanitise the cartridge: gloves, isopropyl alcohol solution (70% or above) and a clean container to hold the solution.
- Put on your gloves to avoid contaminating the cartridges during the sterilisation process.
- Check on your cartridge; ensure the needles are in perfect condition (i.e. not bending) and remove any debris.
- Pour enough alcohol solution into the container and dip the cartridge needle into a sterilisation container, then soak for a couple of minutes.
- If you have alcohol solution in a spray model, you can spray it towards the needle head of the cartridge.
- Once the sterilisation is complete, allow the cartridge to air dry fully before using it.
- Finally, your cartridge is ready for use.
Please read our detailed instruction guide.
- Comprehensive instructions are available on our website under our FAQs section.
- The cartridge comes in a sterile pack.
- Double-cleanse (cleanse and repeat), then wipe the skin clean. Fully tie back your hair, away from your face.
- Work in small areas and add serum to the serum container before needling. This will help ensure the pen does not drag or pull on the skin. For best results, the recommended pattern to move the pen is vertical, horizontal, and then diagonal in both directions. Using light pressure and without dragging, repeat this motion over each area two times.
- Safely dispose of cartridges after every use.
DO NOT USE
- On open wounds.
- On acne or irritated skin.
- If irritation occurs.
- One cartridge more than once.

FAQs
Q: There are so many models (M7S, M8, M8S, etc.). Which one should I choose?
A: Choosing the right model depends on your skincare goals:
- Dr. Pen M8S (Top Pick): The upgraded version of the classic M8. It features a smart LED screen, 16-pin fine needles for less pain, and a low battery warning. Perfect for beginners and home users.
- Dr. Pen M8 (Best Seller): The global standard for microneedling. Reliable, effective, and uses fine gauge needles.
- Dr. Pen M9 / A11: Newer models featuring large ergonomic designs and screens.Recommendation: If you are new to microneedling, the Dr. Pen M8S or M8 are the best places to start.
Q: Should I get the Wired or Wireless model?
A: Most of our popular models (like the M8 and M8S) are actually "hybrid"—meaning the Wireless version can also be used while plugged in.
- Wireless: Offers total freedom of movement. Great for bathroom use where outlets might be far away.
- Wired: Ensures constant peak power output but requires you to be near a power outlet.
- CHUSE Beauty recommends: Go for the Wireless model for maximum flexibility.
Q: Does microneedling hurt?
A: It depends on the needle depth setting:
- Shallow (0.25mm - 0.5mm): Minimal discomfort, feels like a vibrating toothbrush or light scratch against the skin.
- Deep (1.0mm+): Can be uncomfortable. We recommend consulting a professional or using a numbing cream if you plan to treat deep scars.
Q: How often should I use my device?
A: Skin recovery is key to results. Do not overuse!
- Nano Needles: Can be used weekly (for serum infusion).
- 0.25mm - 0.5mm: Every 2 weeks.
- 1.0mm and deeper: Once every 4 to 6 weeks.Your skin needs time to produce collagen and heal.
Q: What serum should I use while microneedling?
A: We highly recommend using a pure Hyaluronic Acid (HA) serum during the treatment. It provides the necessary "slip" for the pen to glide over the skin and hydrates deeply.
- Warning: Do NOT use active ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol (Vitamin A), or Acids (AHAs/BHAs) during the treatment, as this can cause irritation or reaction. Apply these only after your skin has healed.
Q: What are the differences between 11, 16, 24, 36, 42, and Nano needles?
A: Choosing the right cartridge is key to achieving your desired results. Here is a breakdown of the different types:
- 11 Pins / 12 Pins / 16 Pins/18 Pins (Deep Texture & Precision):Best for: Deep wrinkles, deep texture issues (such as acne marks), and body areas (such as stretch marks). How it works: These cartridges have fewer needles with wider spacing, allowing for more targeted penetration.Note: The 16-pin/18-pin cartridge is specific to newer models like the M8 and M8S, offering finer needles for less discomfort.
- 24 Pins (Hybrid):Best for: General face and neck rejuvenation. How it works: A balanced option that offers more coverage than the 11-pin but deeper targeting than the 36-pin.
- 36 Pins / 42 Pins (Smoothing & Pores):Best for: General anti-aging, smoothing fine lines, tightening the appearance of pores, and improving uneven skin tone/discoloration.How it works: These have a high density of fine needles. They are the most popular choice for overall facial skin improvement and increasing serum absorption.
- Nano Needles (Non-Invasive Glow & Infusion):Best for: Sensitive skin, daily serum infusion, "BB Glow" treatments, and delicate areas (eyes/lips).How it works: Nano cartridges do not pierce the skin. They use microscopic silicone or steel tips to massage product into the epidermis without pain or downtime.Round Nano: Best for full-face serum infusion.3D / 5D Nano: Best for hard-to-reach contours like around the nose, eyes, and lips.
Q: Can I reuse the needle cartridges?
A: No. Cartridges are designed for single-use only to ensure hygiene and safety. Reusing cartridges can lead to infection and skin damage due to dull needles. Please discard the cartridge after every session.
Q: Are the cartridges universal?
A: No. Cartridges are model-specific.
Q: Are your products authentic?
A: Yes, 100% Authentic. CHUSE Beauty sells genuine devices that come with a verification code on the box. You can verify the authenticity on the manufacturer's official website.
Q: Do you offer a warranty?
A: Yes. We offer a 1-Year Warranty on all device handsets covering manufacturing defects.
